Phases 1 through 5 will be fully realized within our initial 10-year development window, laying the permanent financial foundation for our transitional housing initiative.
THE MULTI-VENUE ROADMAP
The ultimate destination of the Queer Commons Project capital pipeline is our housing initiative: the acquisition and complete rehabilitation of multiple blighted hotel properties to convert them into secure, mid-term transitional housing solutions. This initiative is designed to provide structural stability for three distinct, high-risk populations: queer youth, unhoused queer individuals, and queer people recovering from substance use disorders. To ensure maximum safety, targeted care, and operational integrity, each demographic will be served by entirely separate facilities; under no circumstances will youth and individuals in recovery be housed within the same building. By transforming neglected local real estate into dedicated, specialized spaces of safety and rehabilitation, we are converting our hospitality revenue into a permanent foundation for community survival.
The QCP Human Capital Pipeline
Our economic vision goes beyond building physical spaces; we are directly investing in the economic mobility of our community. Immediately following the launch of Tectonic, the Queer Commons Project will establish a public scholarship fund alongside a structured housing-to-career pipeline designed to break the cycle of housing insecurity.
The QCP Public Scholarship Fund: Launching directly after Tectonic begins operations, this fund will be open to the general public. It will provide direct financial grants to support education, vocational training, and professional development for community members looking to advance their careers and build long-term financial independence.
The Housing-to-Career Pipeline: To ensure the participants in our transitional housing programs have a clear, reliable path to long-term stability, QCP is building an internal workforce pipeline. We will provide earmarked employment opportunities across our entire network of venues—including Tectonic, Centrum, and our subsequent spaces—giving unhoused individuals, queer youth, and those in recovery stable, thriving-wage employment, professional mentorship, and the structural support needed to transition successfully into permanent careers.
The QCP Entrepreneurial Grant Program: Looking further into our long-term vision, QCP plans to launch a dedicated entrepreneurial grant program. As our network expands and stabilizes, this initiative will provide direct equity-free seed funding, business development resources, and structural mentorship to queer entrepreneurs, empowering them to launch their own independent ventures and expand the landscape of queer-owned business infrastructure.
